Colossians
2:8 (NKJV) says, Beware lest
anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition
of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to
Christ.
What a pleasure it is when you are able to find a truly fulfilling relationship. When I speak of relationships, I am not being limiting to romantic encounters. But I speak of any person that you allow to have value in your life. We often surround ourselves with people that make us feel good and its because of that feeling that we give them value. What about that person that is honest from the heart that gives you hard "pills to swallow"? What about that person that comes from a loving place that often does not tell you what you want to hear but what you need to hear? How quickly do we devalue those individuals?
Relationships are not always easy, but they are suppose to help us grow. Life is a process and many of us don't want to take that journey of a adaptability that makes us stronger and better and wiser and smarter and objective and honest. I believe that there is something to be said about pain. It is the process of pain that allows us to produce prosperity. Is not that the ultimate goal? That we be fruitful, not in selfishness, but to allow others to benefit from our gains?
So the relationships that we choose to have could be indicative of the success that we ultimately possess. Be careful of what people speak out their mouth on to your life and in your mind. You have to decide who stays and who goes. I would like to think when opposition goes out one door, opportunity can walk in the other.
